The Fantam Pandas are part of the Minnesota Ultimate Middle School Spring League. This is a Co-ed ultimate frisbee league for athletes in 5th - 8th grade that is designed to introduce the sport and skills to new players and prepare all participants for the High School League. The emphasis is on FUN and SPIRIT OF THE GAME (see the Ultimate Frisbee Basics page)! Students do not need any experience to join the Fantam Pandas.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! There will be many kids who have never played before
We are a co-ed team and are open to 5th through 8th graders
Practices will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:30 at SLP Middle School or Lamplighter Park (just north of the school), tentatively starting April 6.
If you're interested in being a coach, chaperone or other team volunteer, please contact us and we'll very gratefully get you involved!
Part 1: Register your player with Minnesota Ultimate
Go to Register - 2026 Middle School Spring League - Minnesota Ultimate to register your player with MNU.
When prompted to pick a team, choose SLP Middle School Open 1. That's our only team for now. We'll add more teams and move players around after we know how many players we have.
DO NOT buy the uniform through MNU. We will be purchasing uniforms on our own.
When prompted to pay, DO NOT pay the $190 registration fee. Instead, apply the coupon code of SaintLouisPark2026 (you'll need to click the "+" next to Add Coupon to show the Coupon Code field).
If you purchased an MNU membership in the fall, it's still good for the Spring. The total paid directly to MNU will be either $0 or $20 (if you need a membership), or possibly higher if you decided to donate money.
Part 2: Register your player with SLP Fantam Pandas
Go to Fantam Panda Registration Part 2, fill out the form and make a payment. For this second part of the registration, you'll pay between $50 and $110 based on whether or not your child would like a uniform and which tournaments your child would like to attend. The fees are as follows:
Base Fee: $50
Uniform: additional $10
Hopkins Hustle Tournament: additional $20
State Tournament: additional $30

Wind Chill Ultimate Frisbee Workshop
The Minnesota Wind Chill is hosting a clinic for grades 1-8 at SLP MS on 3/20 (it's a no school day) from 9am-12pm. People can register through SLP Community Ed. This is a great opportunity to get some instruction from some pro players! Also, if your kids have friends who are interested in trying out frisbee this is a good opportunity for them.
